  1. On January 20th, a total of twenty-six archers from Ward County participated in the Bottineau Indoor 4-H Open Archery Match.
  2. The event also provided a postal option, allowing competitors to submit targets for scoring through mail.
  3. Archers from Ward County showcased their skills and competed in a friendly yet competitive environment.
  4. The Bottineau match served as an opportunity for archers to test their abilities and connect with fellow enthusiasts in the community.

  1. Age and Bow Divisions
    • Indoor archery matches categorize participants based on age and bow type.
    • Age groups include beginner (8-10 years old), junior (11-13), and senior (14-18).
    • A masters division is available for participants aged 14 and above who have qualified for national contests in their age and bow division.
    • Bow divisions consist of Barebow (no sights or releases) and Freestyle (with either a sight or release).
  2. Results for Ward County Participants
    • Senior Freestyle Division:
      • Participants: Brooklyn Bloms, Clay Carpenter, Faith Carpenter, McKinley Schultz, Cole Whitcher (Minot).
    • Senior Barebow Division:
      • Elizabeth Michel (Berthold) secured second place with a score of 266.
      • Also competing: Rebecca Tetralt (Bowbells), Clara Potts (Minot).
    • Junior Freestyle Division:
      • Quade Everson (Minot) claimed third place with a score of 146.
      • Other participants: Lillyanna Wright, Paislee Everson, Breanna Mindt, Tyson Perdue, Hunter Schultz, Hadley Yoder (Minot), Kendall Janz (Ryder), Blake Guritz, Tabitha Hauge (Surrey).
    • Junior Barebow Division:
      • Brynlee Bloms (Carpio) emerged as the winner with a score of 274.
      • Reagan Albert (Ryder) secured eighth place (248), while Mindt placed tenth (244).
      • The team of Brynlee Bloms, R. Albert, Mindt, and Taryn Albert (Ryder) won with a combined score of 766.
      • Other competitors: Q. Everson, P. Everson, Janz, Abrielle Michel (Berthold), Tayler Knoke (Surrey).
    • Beginner Freestyle Division:
      • Owen Peterson (Minot) finished ninth with a score of 120.
      • Kelbie Yoder (Minot) also participated.
    • Beginner Barebow Division:
      • Rhett Bloms (Carpio) competed in this division
