Riviera Beach Police are currently investigating a significant incident at Suncoast Community High School. According to a spokesperson from Riviera Beach, there is no danger to the public or students. The police were first notified of the incident at 7:20 a.m.”

Riviera Beach, Suncoast Community High School to Reopen Following Incident
- RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Suncoast Community High School will resume classes on Monday after an undisclosed incident prompted arriving students to be redirected and nearby roads to be blocked off.
- Principal Kathryn Koerner informed parents that the school remains under a Code Yellow status but will remain open. Although students are being allowed to leave, entry is restricted. Empty school buses are parked along nearby streets.

- Principal Koerner stated that the decision for students to attend or stay home rests with the parents.
- Reports have emerged among students of law enforcement apprehending a suspect on school premises, with images and videos circulating.”
- “Law enforcement officials are labeling the situation as an ‘incident’ and have not disclosed additional information about the nature of the event.
- Riviera Beach police have blocked off 13th Street near the school and are stationed on Congress Avenue and surrounding areas.”
An officer present at the scene stated that the high school is closed.

- Suncoast Community High School is located just a block away from Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary School, where police presence has also been reported.
- Serena Spates, spokesperson for the Riviera Beach Police Department, mentioned that the investigation has been handed over to the school district’s police department, as the incident falls within its jurisdiction.
