They revealed details about Turner’s past that contradicted what he’d said on the show. Turner claimed he hadn’t dated anyone since his wife passed away, but the article quoted an ex-girlfriend who said otherwise. Turner admitted there was “some truth” to it but downplayed its significance.

• During their Good Morning America interview, Nist insisted that these revelations didn’t influence their breakup. She said Turner had already talked to her about it before the article came out.
